What we verify
We compare the model number, manufacturer documentation, included hardware, stated vehicle or system coverage, update terms, app requirements, warranty, and the limitations most likely to change a buying decision.
How hands-on evidence is labeled
We never turn a specification sheet into a claimed test result. When a tool is used directly, the page should identify the test date, vehicle year, make, model and engine, app or firmware version, procedure, and observed result.
How recommendations are made
Feature count is not a verdict. We prioritize whether a tool fits the diagnostic job, whether compatibility can be confirmed before purchase, what ownership costs continue after the first year, and who should choose a simpler or more capable alternative.
